Hill Stations in Uttarakhand

The popular tourist spots of the town are gun hill (the highest point of Mussoorie), Kempty fall, Lal Tibba and the Mall road. Mussoorie is only 35 kms from the state capital Dehradun and very well connected through road.

Nainital:
The beautiful lake city Nainital is situated at an altitude of 1,938 meters above from the sea level. The city is located in the surrounding of Naini Lake and a temple of Goddess Naina is also situated at the bank of the lake.

The splendid beauty and scenic charm of the hill city makes it one of the most popular hill stations of the India. Naini Lake, The Flatts (Ground), Zoo, Aerial Ropeway, Lands End, Horse Riding, Kilbury, Naina Peak or China Peak, Snow View, Hanuman Garhi, and Caves Garden are major places of interest in Nainital.

Auli:
It is a small town, nested in the lap of snow clapped mountains of Gharwal, Uttrakhand and famous for its Skiing slops. Auli’s well-dressed slopes are flanked by oak and coniferous forests, which offer a panoramic view of Himalayan Mountains.

Every year during winter season (January and February) skiing competition is organized by Uttrakhand government. Ranikhet: It is a small hill town famous for its lush green mountains and dense forests. The beautiful city is located only 102 kms from the Nainital and well connected through roads. Ranikhet is famous for natural beauty, ancient temples, picnic sports, exciting treks and India’s highest golf course.
