Built in the late 1800's by Francis Assis D'Silveira, a Landed Gentleman and Successful Businessman it is owned by the Same Family over 5 Generations. The Gilded Pelmets and Wrought Iron Railings which run across the 1st Floor Balconies and Verandahs Sport the Family Insignia or Brazao of Francis D'Assis Silveira.

Diligent Restoration Preserve the External Facade and Retain the Distinctiveness and Intrinsic Elegance of the Building. While making Alterations Care has been Exercised to Conserve and Strengthen the 90cm. Thick, Mud. Clay and Lateritic Stonewalls which make for the basic structure. The Massive Burmah Teak Beams and Rafters have been Treated to Protect them from Termites and White Ants.
