Fort Aguada, located south of Candolim beach is a 16th century Portuguese fort. This formidable fort which was built atop the cliff of Sinquerim, is a must visit site for its historic significance and alluring views. Portuguese has constructed this fort to guard their territory against Dutch and Marathas. It has also served as a referring point for the vessels coming from the Europe.

The Church of St. Lawrence
With the magnificent views, the Church of St. Lawrence is another prime attraction of Candolim beach. Set against the beautiful seascape setting, this church is dedicated to the patron saint of sailors. Most of the visitors loves to capture its scenic beauty in their camera lenses.
